The day center, “House of Culture”, serves as a gathering place for foreigners (refugees, asylum seekers, third-country nationals, as well as foreign students, volunteers, etc.) to meet with the residents of Vilnius.
Foreigners holding a Lithuanian residence permit are provided with legal, psychological and employment counseling free of charge. Free English language classes, educational activities and special events are offered, and child care is provided during the consultations.
- Contribute to the events for the visitors taking place in the community center or other locations in the City (for example: organize and play soccer, picnic in the park, play board games, hold a women’s craft or culinary class in our day center, go to an exhibition or concert, etc.);
- Teach an English language class to a group of refugees;
- If you enjoy working with children, consider helping in our day center for an hour or two (adults or teens under adult supervision).
